This package combines engine maintenance, replacement filters, new spark plugs where applicable and extensive checks to help protect performance, reliability and safety. Ideal for annual servicing or higher-mileage vehicles, it can also identify developing problems before they become costly repairs. The Gold Service includes: * Correct-specification engine oil * New engine oil filter * Air filter where fitted and applicable * Pollen/cabin filter where fitted and applicable * Spark plugs on petrol engines where fitted and applicable * Extensive visual and functional checks * Clear advice about any concerns found Engine Oil and Filters Oil lubricates, cools and protects vital engine parts but deteriorates over time. We drain it, refill with the correct specification and quantity, and fit a new filter. Replacing dirty air and pollen filters supports engine airflow, cabin ventilation and effective demisting. Spark Plugs Worn spark plugs may cause difficult starting, poor performance, misfires or increased fuel use. On applicable petrol vehicles, we fit the correct plugs for the engine. Diesel glow-plug replacement is not included. Gold Service checks may include: * Coolant, brake-fluid, screenwash and power-steering fluid levels where applicable * Engine bay checks for visible leaks and damaged hoses, belts or connections * Battery security, terminals and visible condition * Tyre pressures, tread depth, damage and uneven wear * Exterior lights, indicators, horn, wipers and washers * Visual checks of accessible brakes, steering, suspension and exhaust components * Dashboard warning lights and signs of wear, damage or developing faults Checks vary by vehicle design and accessibility and are visual or functional unless stated otherwise. Any concerns will be explained. Extra parts, repairs or diagnostics require your approval. Some vehicles require specialist oil, larger quantities, premium filters or plugs, or extra access time.
